Bethmale

Bethmale is the latest release from Paris based Australian group Heligoland. They asked me if I would be interested in coming up with a sleeve design for an EP which had been recorded while the band went away for a weekend break together.

The design was inspired by a photo that the band took of the place where they were staying. The photo showed an old piano being played by Karen the groups vocalist, the piano sat alone in a room with a beautiful tiled floor. It was the pattern of the tiles that lead to cover for this EP. The colour palette was drawn from the other photographs of the region taken by the band.
